How To Give

Giving in spiritual terms does not mean to give physical things or money to others. It also doesn‘t mean to hand out non-materialistic gifts like support, value or another type of service.
Giving in its purest form refers to the most difficult gift of understanding and forgiveness: To see and accept someone (including yourself) for who they really are, and not how we would like them to be.

Words To Ditch Forever

  • has to
  • can‘t
  • never
  • always

Every time you use these words you are putting yourself in a victim’s position (apart from the fact that any sentence with them is rarely ever true.)

Become aware every time you use these terms. Try to remove them from your vocabulary completely. Start by replacing them with an alternative such as:

  • has to = get to
  • can’t = won’t
  • never/always = sometimes

Selfishness

Living life on your terms and doing what you want is not being selfish.

Being selfish is to expect or demand that someone else live their life as you see fit.

Stop Worrying

I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened.

Mark Twain

Worrying is nothing more than unnecessary suffering and only weakens us emotionally.

Say to yourself:

If there is anything I can do right now about the future, I will do it. Then I‘m going to leave it alone and enjoy life with each single moment. My life experience has taught me that I can only deal with things when they happen, and in that moment I will always have the energy and the resources to handle them.“
